  Definitely worth the 2 hour drive from Connecticut. Just a little LOUD though. However, the Drag Show made up for it. One of the better shows I have seen in a while. I foresee another trip in the near future. Thanks for the BLAST Providence.

  BAD BUSINESS IN DOWNTOWN PROVIDENCE!!!!
  BAD BUSINESS IN DOWNTOWN PROVIDENCE!!!! The Dark Lady in Providence, Rhode Islanddvertised that last night (7/27/13) they would be hosting a "Super Soaker Block Party" untill 3AM. Several of my friends and I headed there around1:45AM and paid a $10.00 admission to get in... Only to be told they were closing down for the night. There was no emergency and everyone was a little confused as to what was going on. There were hundreds of people there, inside the bar and on the blocked off street infront of the building. After speaking with the manager, we were told that they were intending to stay open omly until 2AM and that their advertising company had produced a misprint. However, we came to this event due to several Facebook posts promoting the new time (see below).  Approximately 8 of us requested our money back due to the misinformation leading us to head to the Dark Lady late night after leaving another bar that closed at 2AM.  The manager rudely told us that it was not his problem and that there was no way we would reimurse our money that we had paid several minutes before hand. The bartenders had already called last call... So most of us were not even allowed the opportunity to buy a drink.  The manager's decision to blatenly disregard his establishment's mistake and refusal to make it right showed deplorable customer service and a lack of respect for us individuals who have supported gay business in Providence, such as this, during such a dynamic and influential time in our state.  This is BAD BUSINESS in Providence and I know my friends and I will not be returning!!!

  My boyfriend and I go to Dark Lady on a regular basis. Fun crowd, great bartenders, very friendly. And of course Sabrina is always a treat! We occasionally go to other clubs also, but Dark Lady is our favorite

  Pride Block Party
  I went to the pride block party at the Dark Lady and it was amazing. I had so much fun dancing and watching the Queens preform. I cant wait till next year!

  Well Dark Lady was to the first gay bar that I went and I love it since the first time I went to it..... Some of my friends of my work took me to other gay clubs but trust me, no one is like the Dark Lady..... so thats why I love the Dark Lady Gar Bar.......... ;)

  was not impressed when i visited. it was early on a thursday, but bartender wasn't even very friendly. music OK. would not be my first choice of a destination

  If you want to see the Providence gay-elite, Dark Lady is the place. Rumor has it the gay Mayor loves to hang out here, and in one night I saw Mr. and Miss Gay Rhode Island, Jonathan from the latest season of Project Runway, and Jessica Wild from RuPaul's Drag race! The place is well decorated (in the dark), with chandeliers and a great layout that lets you stand above the bar action and watch the hunky crowd below if you prefer. Like other places in town, there's no sign with the name of the place or even a gay flag... just look for the drag queens smoking around the front entrance on Snow St.

  Relaxed but never dull!
  Dark Lady is a relaxed bar, but there is never a dull moment there. Take, for instance, this Thursday when they are spicing up their usual Thursday night hot body contest with an American Idol style judges panel! They are open every night of the week and always have something going on!
